I’ve hosted a lot of stages; spoken on many platforms; never have I seen an audience as connected and gripped by a story as they were with Dan. We laughed, we cried, and we did it together. An incredible story with a powerful message, expertly delivered.
Dan’s session was one of the most inspirational things I have ever experienced // Awesome, very emotional and empowering to motivate people to talk about our mental health // Absolutely inspirational, I felt this was personal to me, this has helped beyond words // Dan should be a regular speaker. His experience is a great example of how kindness and compassion to one’s self is really positive // All Health Care Professionals should hear Dan’s talk ‘The Mental Adventure’, not just those in healthcare but to all areas // Thanks for waking me up.
Hearing Dan tell his story is truly moving. His words echo in the ears of everyone that hears them. His energy and enthusiasm are utterly infectious and hi passion as a mental health activist is inspirational. The world needs more Dan Keeley’s. Unfortunately I think they broke the mold when they made him.
Hearing Dan speak at the Derby Royal Hospital touched my heart and gave me the confidence to open up and tell people what I went through. I was astonished by Dan’s courage and motivation! You’ve inspired me and I’m sure you’ve inspired hundreds of other’s across the UK.
We welcomed Dan to Aristocrat Technologies for International Men’s Day to promote positive male role models and address the stigma around suicide in young men. Dan delivered an excellent and emotional insight into the challenges he has encountered over the past 6 years. It was a powerful demonstration of how one person, with the support of family, friends and colleagues can overcome the darkest of days to become the positive male role model he is today. Dan displayed true passion and connection through conversations with all members of staff. We wish Dan all the success he deserves to empower the UK to speak up when we’re struggling.
We were so touched by Dan’s honesty, enthusiasm and amazing courage. Dan is an amazing speaker and his dedication to his cause is an inspiration.
Legend. I don’t think much more needs to be said. Apart from what an inspirational, humble, caring, decent, loving and funny guy he is. But his dance moves are interesting.
I have to admit I was a total fan girl before I met Dan in person, and when I did I wasn’t disappointed. I then had the absolute privilege of sharing a stage with him. Dan is without doubt one of the most inspiring people I know, not only because of his own journey but because his outlook & vision inspires us all. If you haven’t heard Dan talk, you need to add it to your bucket list. Life-changing.
Dan’s ruthless honesty, emotive delivery and raw vulnerability re-defines what it means to be a brave man. I prescribed myself a cry, I went along, I wasn’t disappointed.
I was so touched by Dan’s story and mission as my son took his own life 2 years ago. Dan is an incredible man, with amazing strength and endurance. What he has put his mind, body and soul through to empower others to speak up when they’re suffering is phenomenal. We’re all with you on this journey Dan.
Thank you, Dan, for your kind words and thank you for being so awesome and raising the flag on mental health awareness. May your legs run wild and your heart beat strong.
Simply one of the most positive people I know.
CALM relies on the dedication of our amazing supporters to raise awareness of the fact that suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK and the precious money that funds our helpline and webchat service. The sheer enormity of Dan’s Rome To Home challenge was incredible, and we’re so proud that he chose to work with CALM. It’s been a privilege to get to know Dan and follow his journey.
A huge thank you to Dan for sharing his inspirational story and encouraging our students to not be afraid to discuss issues of mental health and well-being. We were all moved by Dan’s courage, bravery and honesty, and his openness around his experience with bipolar disorder resonated with students and staff alike. Dan’s phenomenal journey demonstrates that with care, and the love and support of others, we can achieve anything.
Dan was able to captivate our students with his story and challenge he undertook. Our students were intrigued by his passion, commitment and dedication to such a worthy cause. It’s so important people realise they can speak out and people are there to support them.
Dan’s very brave and moving presentation received the most applause I have ever witnessed over several years attending the Kendal Mountain Festival.
Your brutal honesty has helped me to understand the condition of Bipolar and how it manifests itself. Keep going!
One of the most inspirational and positive guys I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.
